It is funny how the years have gone by so quickly but how normal it seems when we see the ones that meant so much to us during our years at BMC. Glendis and I have stayed close since she became my big sis. I have spent Thanksgiving with her in-laws (yes, in-laws Billy’s parents) since Glendis married Billy. 30 + years.
They love me!! What can I say of course. :o) Her kids are like my kids and I am sure the children they have will be part mine too. Glendis lives about 1 hour away and we try to visit from time to time. Teaching school and Athletic Director does not give me a lot of time but we do the holidays for sure. She has meant the world to me as we grow older I even feel closer to her. I can remember Aunt Anita Crump Eddings and Glendis hanging around the bamboo suite in Lowry. OH MY GOODNESS. That was always the place to hang out. I would watch Anita and Steve in the parlor (they did not know). Steve would laugh at me as I would leave to go run in the coldest of weather in shorts and t shirt and come back in red as a beet.
I was in need of more than 1 care taker and seemed to have my share of them with Anita, Joy, Lori, Amy, Glendis, Leah, Robin just to name a few that I always depended on that made BMC even more special.
Gosh remember the fire the 1st week we were there. That was big trouble. We did not sign out, left campus after hours, not dressed in the proper clothing just to name a few. Had to go before SGA Joy Hurt president. They all thought they were sooo funny making me wait til last and gave me such a hard time about the mishap. Got off track a little but you get the point. Lots of great memories with soooo many of you. Would not trade a single one of them either.
Happy New year to all.
